Abstract: This paper briefly introduces the nature of ethnobotanics, the currentstatus of research and its application in economic, ecological, environmental and academic fields. The social value of ethnophysiology is demonstrated through its role in enhancing national self-confidence, ethics and intellectual property. The cultural value of ethnobotany is concrete and vivid, and it is reflected in various direct plant culture phenomena (such as plant etiquette culture, food culture culture, leaf letter, herbal medicine culture, etc.) and religious behavior (such as plant totem, tree god worship, god forest worship, etc.). Through an analysis of the economic, ecological, and social and cultural values of ethnobotanical, the authors believe that ethnobotanics will play a positive role in the protection of cultural diversity and biodiversity.
